It’s safe to assume that people in the market for a used vehicle want that vehicle to last. Luckily, the folks at iSeeCars have put together a list of vehicles most likely to reach 200,000 miles.
The way iSeeCars compiled the info was by looking at vehicle listings, 30 million of them, from last year to see which listings were for vehicles that had 200,000 miles or more on them.
Not surprisingly, the vehicles that top the list are trucks. The trucks that most often attain 200,000 miles are big trucks at that, the Ford F-250 Super Duty and the Chevy Silverado 2500HD. This isn’t surprising. Trucks are built to be beat up, especially tower-and-haulers like the F-250 and 2500HD.
Exclude the trucks, and you get SUVs floating to the top of the list. These include the Ford Expedition, Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon XL. Again, you remove the trucks and SUVs and you’re left with the longest-lasting cars topping the list. These include Honda Accord, Subaru Legacy and Toyota Avalon.
