What is one thing that a family needs day in and day out? A minivan that can haul the family and their supplies around town, that’s what a family needs. Well, unfortunately the minivan market is losing one of its own in the next couple years. We will be forced to say goodbye to the Grand Caravan from Dodge as they look to focus their attention elsewhere.
Grand Caravan drivers know what the van has provided for the many years it has been on dealership lots and in our hearts (cue violin music). The Caravan has given us room, power, efficiency, and a little extra family time in a busy world. But, don’t be sad about it going because as the saying goes, “When one door closes, another opens.” In this case we are just talking about car doors.
After we say goodbye to the Grand Caravan, there will still be a Chrysler minivan left for us to go to, and that is the luxurious Town & Country. Since Chrysler and Dodge are part of the same brand, it is like we will have never lost the Grand Caravan!
Dodge is also going to be focusing on its sports cars too, in case you haven’t seen the millions of posts about the new 2015 Chargers and Challengers. So it makes sense that the Dodge Grand Caravan is going to be discontinued because it didn’t really match that vibe.
Unfortunately at Plainfield Used Cars we don’t currently have any Dodge Caravans on the lot, but that doesn’t mean you should stop looking! Check in with us occasionally to find out the newest (used) vehicles we get!
