Aggressive Driving is NOT the Answer

Aggressive DrivingAggressive driving is a term that is associated with someone behind the wheel who will do whatever it takes to get where they want to be. While this is a close association, there is more to it than that. The NHTSA has defined it as when, “An individual commits a combination of moving traffic offenses so as to endanger other persons or property.”

We are here to tell you that while you may be in a hurry to get to wherever you are going, aggressive driving is not the answer. Just think of the last person you saw he swerved in and out of lanes without a turn signal, blew through a red light, and was taking turns way to fast. Does the thought of that person frighten or upset you? You don’t want to be that person.

There are different ways to avoid aggressive driving that may be coming from you. Two examples would be:

  1. Give yourself more time – when you are not in a rush, you are more willing to follow speed limits and traffic signals.
  2. Plan ahead – if you know there is going to be traffic, then plan for it.

Also, if there is an aggressive driver around you, try to stay away from that vehicle. Let them go by so that way you are not in the path of aggression.

Pfeiffer Plainfield Used Cars wants to remind you to always remember that aggressive driving is not the answer, and this will help to keep yourself and others safe.
