With Halloween right around the corner, neighborhoods and streets will be filled with little ghosts, goblins and super heroes. So in order to keep the children, and their parents, safe on Halloween night we wanted to bring you a few driving tips to keep in mind.
- Slow down and don’t pass stopped vehicles. When vehicles are stopped, it’s probably for good reason as children will be darting in the streets without thinking to make it to the neighbor’s house with king sized candy bars. You want to make sure you have time to stop if this happens.
- Yield to pedestrians. Always. Parents might have taught their kids to look both ways before crossing the street, but as we mentioned above, only candy is on their mind during this time and they might forget about this rule, so it’s your responsibility to keep them safe.
- Always be prepared to stop on a dime. You should never text and drive, but especially on Halloween. Paying extra attention to the roads while driving through residential areas is crucial to safe driving.
By keeping these three simple driving tips in mind this Halloween, you should have no problems and will enjoy the night as well.
