According to a new study by iSeeCars.com, some of the fastest-selling used cars in the country are hybrids or electric cars. In fact, six out of the 10 fastest-selling used cars used some form of electric power.
To compile the data, iSeeCars.com analyzed 2.1 million used car sales from January through August of 2017. Nationwide, the average used car will sit on a dealer’s lot for 33.4 days. The fastest-selling used car is the FIAT 500e, which is an electric version of the subcompact car. It sells, on average, after just 22.2 days.
Other quick-selling used cars include the BMW i3 plug-in hybrid, the Toyota Prius plug-in hybrid, the electric Nissan LEAF, the Ford Fusion Energi plug-in hybrid, and the electric Tesla Model S. The remaining four vehicles on the list are all gasoline powered: the Lexus IS 200t, Hyundai Veloster Turbo, Scion FR-S, and Mercedes-Benz GLC.
While electric and hybrid cars may not be as popular here in Michigan as in other parts of the country, there are still plenty of them on the market. In fact, we routinely have a few hybrids on our lot here at Pfeiffer Plainfield Used. If you are looking for hybrid used cars, give us a call and we can keep you updated on our inventory as it arrives.
